Hanks School Birthday

On Hanks birthday I took a cake into his class. They had a good time. I also gained a new appreciation for his teacher, I went crazy after twenty minutes she does this all day! So I want to say Thank you to Ms. Sara for all of her hard work.

I was tagged

I was tagged from a friend on SparkPeople. By the way I love this site!

10 years ago: I was managing a conveneience store in Bountiful Utah. I had no children, and one dog.

5 things on today's to do list: Write two school papers, attend classes tonight, fold laundry, water the grass, work.

Snacks I enjoy: South Beach diet high protein cereal bars - Peanut Butter

If I had millions: I would buy two four wheelers, pay off my car. Take my son to Disneyland. Then save for his college and our future.

Birthday party for FOUR kids are we crazy.....

So we decided to have a crazy birthday party for Hank, Abby, Emily and Sam. It was a total blast and I think that everyone had a great time. The Pinata was fun...

Hank drinking a Capri Sun.

Hit the pinata!!!!

Hank and his friend Peyton.

Sam with his special baloon

Everyone line up by your age...how does this work when five kids are the same age? Then Aunt Carole has rules. Like don't run and get candy until I scream Happy Birthday. Only she wasn't paying attention and when the pinata burst the kids were a little confused for a second. Then she caught up and said Happy Birthday it was fun.

THANK YOU! Aunt Carole for all the hard work you guys did to get the party ready.

Carole's Visit

Here are a few pictures of when my sister Carole was here to visit. I will post birthday pictures in another post.

Birthday

So my birthday came and went! I do feel a little older, but at least my sister is the same age! Friday was the last day of my week long conference, and I was glad that was over. Went out to lunch and a movie with a friend. We saw the new Indiana Jones, it is funny in parts. Then that night we had the rehearsal dinner for Andrews wedding. It was out at their new house and it was fun. My Uncle Jon had everybody sing me happy birthday! After dinner Hank and I went home to get some rest, this was going to be a busy weekend. I will post again later about the wedding and post some pictures.

I can't beleive June is here...

Well I told myself that I was going to blog more frequently and then all of a sudden Hank asked me to mark off the days on his calender and I realized it is June. I mean I knew it was June but it didn't really hit me until tonight. I have been moving, and attending a conference all week. So for now or new apartment is a mess, with boxes everywhere. Our old apartment needs to be finished cleaning (which I will do on Friday). And then our cousin is getting married on Saturday. Sometimes I wonder when I will have the time to just breath. I will try and post more this weekend. Hopefully with some pictures.

I am happy to report that I have one strawberry, it is still green. And one little tomato growing in our garden. At least the rain has made it so I don't have to figure out time to water the garden.

Sugarhouse Park...

So if you are walking down a path and a bigger kid yells "MOVE" I suggest that you move and not just freeze and look at him. Because if that is what you do, then you will end up with some bruising and pain. Although Hank is such a trooper he only held his gatorade bottle on the eye for about five minutes then was just happy to find out that he wasn't bleeding anymore. When I explained that he might end up with a black eye he started crying! So my child can get run over by a kid riding a bike and only shed a few tears, but if you tell him that he will get a bruise he cries!
The sad part for me is that he ended up with a little scar under his eye. But I guess since he is a boy maybe he can make up a cool battle story about it when he gets older. I have a scar by my eye too.

Life....

This is what it looks like when Hank helps you move!

Well I know that I have been the worlds most horrible blogger lately! I am going to attempt to make up for it. I will post a bunch of pictures tonight then hopefully have time in the next day or two to actually type out some information!

Teeth are Done!

Ok so I am so happy today! My teeth are finally done. I will have to post a picture on another day. I have had to take a few loritab tonight to make it ok to breath. I was in the dentist chair for four hours again. Three different types of locals to get me numb enough to do the work. It was so worth it though!

Head Lice notification

I think that this is every parents nightmare. I dropped Hank off at school this morning and there was a little note to all the parents that a child had head lice at his school. The note said while it is unlikely your child will get the head lice here is some information so you know what to look for. So my only experience with Head lice was when I was a child and my aunts family lived in my grandparents house and so did we. Well we all ended up with head lice, I remember how much cleaning it took to get rid of it. Now my concern is if Hank gets it, his head of hair will be easy to get it out. Mine on the other hand will not. So I just hope that we do not have any head lice experiences!

First of May

I am sitting in my office at work, and it is snowing outside. I can not believe that Utah keeps getting so much snow. I think that it looks beautiful but that is just my opinion. I am ready for summer, just not the heat part of it.

This morning Hank knew it was the start of something but I couldn't figure it out at first, he said it was a new week, a new season? Then he explained the chart on the wall at school, and we figured out it was a new month. Then he smiled and said next month is June which has his birthday in it.

Last night after I picked him up at school on our way home we pass a golf course and right next to the road were some baby ducks. Hank couldn't see them in his car seat so I had to make a U-turn and park the car on 2700 south. Which is super busy at this time of night, and it was snowing lightly. We waited for a break in traffic and walked across the street. There were three little baby ducklings, he was so excited. I also got the lesson on how we can't see their egg tooth because it already fell off, they only need it to crack the egg. Then he told me they were going under their mom to get milk, and stay warm. Then he asked the question how did I give him milk when he was a baby. These are the kinds of questions that no matter what you say a four year old little boy will not understand!

Tonight is boys night. He changed it from being dad night, because it is with Uncle Briant. I hope that he doesn't come up with some crazy questions to ask Uncle Bri, I don't know what kind of answers he will get. The joys of motherhood :)

Tuesday

So I woke up this morning and guess what?
My two temporary teeth had come out again!
So I put on some dental wax and headed to work. I called the Dentist office and was able to get in right away to see them. I think they feel really bad but it isn't really there fault. What we discovered today is that I must grind my teeth a lot during the night. They placed the temporary back in and had me grind me teeth back and forth and off it popped again. So at least this time they were able to file it down a whole bunch and then put it back in. I think my nervous system is getting used to going to the dentist, which is not a good thing! Anyway I am hoping that this was the last time until I have to get the final porcelain ones on in May.

Monday

I guess that I am brave in posting my teeth. Hopefully I didn't scare anybody off! It was the only way I could think of to show my friends and family what is going on. I already have plans to go get pictures done of Hank and I after I get the pretty teeth on. The unseen bonus of having this done is Hank is now really serious about brushing his teeth and making sure that his teeth stay white. He even uses the mouth was twice a day. Hopefully with all this work done I will be able to eat ice cream again. And I might just smile a little more. Today is not as painful as the last couple of days, but eating my Monday morning bagel was hard.

My Teeth

So in case you have never had a tooth prepped for a root canal it is horrible! I had my front six teeth done, from eye tooth to eye tooth. I had the prep done on Friday, and Saturday night while sleeping I had the temporary teeth fall off two of my teeth. It hurt so bad this morning. I am grateful that Dr. Tarbet gave me Loritab to take. I felt really bad calling him on Sunday but I was also extremely happy that he came into the office and fixed my tooth. This is what they looked like without the temporary on.

So those two little teeth, are my real tooth, the ones in front also look the same way! Even breathing hurt.
The black spots are my gums where they are bruised. Oh well this whole thing will be over soon...... And then six new pretty teeth!

My Country

I got this quiz off my cousins blog. Guess what I live in the right country!

http://www.youthink.com/quiz.cfm?action=go_detail&sub_action=take&obj_id=1435

Which country should you REALLY be living in?
United States of America
You`re an American through and through. You like the idea of liberty and freedom, and enjoy watching the odd ball game with your trusty weener bun and your bud light. Sweet, dude.

Easter Afternoon

Easter afternoon was filled with fun at Papa greats house. And a quick visit to see Papa Ed. It was nice and fun to hang out with Carole and the kids. I drove her van up there, and the big joke was if I would drive crazy. Here are a couple more pictures from that day.

Easter morning at our house

This one look was the perfect look for Easter morning. I love the look of surprise on his face! Too bad I was behind him and couldn't get a good picture.

The bunny even climbed up on the chair for a few minutes!

But he only ate a couple bites of the carrots. Too bad I think that the bunny wasn't hungry anymore.

So I am going to attempt to update my blog :)

Hank and I woke up on Easter Sunday and the Easter Bunny had brought him a basket full of goodies and a little bit of candy. I thought the Easter Bunny mixed up our chocolate rabbits, because Hank got the big one and I got the small one. But I guess it is ok.

Did the bunny come in from outside?
Easter morning was fun I am glad that he is still young enough to enjoy it.

Easter Bunny

If you can't read the note it says: Dear Easter Bunny, Thank you for the first easter big chocolate to share you gave me. Hope you have a appy easter Love Hank Kris (he wrote his name backwards the first time)

Getting ready for the Easter Bunny.....

The basket had to get on the biggest table we had, because in case you didn't know the easter bunny brought lots of stuff last year. Sometimes I wish that he didn't have such a good memory. I will post more pictures tomorrow after our Easter celebration.

Aunt Carole is here

Hank loves his cousins and has been so excited to play with them all week. I can't beleive how much fun they have together. We played kick ball this evening at the park. It was so much fun to try and teach the kids who they ran to and watching Uncle Bri pitch the ball to each of them. When he was pitching I thought back to how proud he used to be when he was in baseball. He loved to go play with his friends, I think he was only about 8 or maybe younger.

Here Uncle Bri is helping everybody play with these little helicopters I bought when working up at the home and garden show in Ogden.

Sam Loved to roll down the hill. I can't beleive how much he has grown since Christmas when we saw him last.

Climbing the Tree

Hank asked if he could climb up the tree in our front yard. He even had to have his gloves so the tree wouldn't hurt him. I can't beleive that he is growing up so quickly.

He wanted to make sure that I was watching him so I was sitting on the top step reading my Anatomy and watchin him.

He was actually up on the lower branch while I was getting the camera out.

The Couch

I just realized that a lot of my recent posts have pictures of our ugly couch in the background! My family will all recognize the couch because it belonged to Grandma Great and Papa Great. Well hank and I have decided to recover the couch, in this really nice green fabric. Well since I am required to get at least three hours of sleep a night I have not finished it. I will take another picture of just the couch so you can all see. It will be nice when it is all done, but who knows when that will happen.

Race Cars

Hank received these race cars from Grandma B and Papa B for christmas. We finally opened them on Saturday. he loves them. We only had enough batteries to make one of the cars run, but he loved it anyway.

He figured out how to get both cars running at the same time on one track. I knew he was smart :)

New School Clothes

Here are the new "uniforms" for Hank for "Big Kid School" He doesn't start there until August 20th but Old Navy was having a sale so I picked up some extra clothes, that are a little large.

He tried them on but then didn't want me to take a picture of him with the clothes on, so we compromised and he got by them. At least he was smiling!

This week

So this week has been hard for me. I have had finals in massage school, and my class at university of phoenix is ending on Monday. Also I have no energy levels. You would think that since I started to walk everyday and at least watch my food intake I would be gaining energy but that is not the case so far. Oh well it will get better. Now if I could cut out the Doctor Pepper I would be under calories and could start losing weight. I don't know if I can do it but I am going to try. I am at least finally drinking enough water in a day. Sometimes I feel like I am going to float out of my office.
